Still recovering from the trip to Alpine California for the WPBA San Diego Classic.
What a great show. The three days I spent there was the longest I have been at a Classic Tour event and it is very interesting to see how the level of play rises from day one to day three.
Although a couple of players ran out of gas late on day three, the majority of the players still in the running took their game to a different level.
So, I happened to inherit a pool cue from my Dad who got it from Cisero Murphy. Anyways, I would like to sell it. I believe it is made by George Balabushka. Well, if anyone is interested in buying it, please let me know. It is believed to be one in a set of 10 that a museum in Ohio has. That museum offered us 30,000 for it, but my sisters and I were being sentimental at the time and didnt want to sell. I was told it is worth more. Well, I guess just pass the word along and see if anyone is interested....
2009 BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships Riviera Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas, NV
This year, I knew I was going to enjoy Las Vegas.
This is because my jackhole boss of previous years has moved on to another establishment and my interim boss was much, much more reasonable about me taking vacation time (and not having to work while on vacation... because... you know... it's... vacation... even if pool is like a job sometimes).
You have just made 3 balls off the break. Now you are facing this layout...
Take this great opportunity to challenge yourself against a situation which the pros would face and run out in tournaments. Study the layout carefully and get the camera ready now.

Internet: You Gotta Be Tough If You're Gonna Be Stupid
Justin Collett, one of the large halves of The Action Report, has started a blog. Since he has access to most of pool's most colorful characters (with or without substantial bankrolls), you can only imagine the stories he has to tell and the photographs he's taken. Here's to more posts in the future, Justin! theactionreport.blogspot.com...
Awkward photographs.
Serial killers.
Girls rowing boats.
Vote on a poll about world championships.
People getting married.
People creatively settling billiards wagers.
The importance of being earnest.
The Final Countdown.

Lots of great players for these events. Oscar and his Dad Ernesto Dominguez, those players mentioned above (last month's one pocket and 9 ball winners) George Michaels and Jun Almoite, HOF'er Ronnie Allen and the area's best players.
Always a pleasure to host one of the West Coast's better attended monthly events....

Ive Been a bit swamped this last month, keeping up with two full time jobs (hopefully only for a short while) and keeping up with orders. So first off I want to appologise for any mistakes made on my part.. I honestly work 18+ hours a day right now and still try to have time to spend with my fiance and son..
Anyhoo, getting down to brass tacks.. I thought I would inspire a little fresh blood to try my services, as it seems like my other.. other job is starting to edge out to a close....
Allums, a George Washington University student and basketball player, has sparked a controversy. Allums can play women's basketball next year. This is controversial because Kye is a female-to-male transgendered person. This decision took consultation with the NCAA and a number of other groups. George Washington University, ultimately, made the final decision.
Over the last decade I've seen, or heard of quite a few pool halls closing. In that same period of time I have also seen billiards on television less and less, much to my dismay. We have seen the blame placed on the economy, promoters, video games, bad image, the time it takes to learn the game and on the professional players themselves. I am here to say that things will be tilting back in pool's favor soon.
We are seeing more and more events streamed onto the internet. Between tournaments,...
I would like to sell a Meucci SE IV with 2 factory shafts. I would be willing to trade for a Meucci Gambler depending on which series it is.
This cue has never been chalked or used and has the serial number tag in the butt. I have had it since it was new.
I can take more pictures other than what I post and send to you.

I'm finally getting recuperated from the Tupelo Miss. tournament....we videotaped great stories about the Million Dollar Challenge from Jay Helphert, who was the tournament director and Max Eberle, who was one of the up and coming stars (finished fourth)..and the 2 hour interview with Earl Strickland was something I will never forget....Earl revealed things that I would have never dreamed about preparation....it's too bad the public sees the "other end" of his genius...I believe now, more...

I can't help but wonder how anyone could think you could play pool (or anything else) at the highest level without a system. Whether we want to realize it or not there is a conscious or unconcious system for all aspects of pocket billiards. That goes for pocketing balls, playing zone position, lining up your eyes correctly relative to the line of the shot, etc.
The main thing with aiming is the way we connect the two balls together BEFORE getting down on the shot. If anyone doesn't...
I have said my peace and no one has answered MANY of the questions I asked?
I am not argumentative and indicated a lack of MALICE by Zimmerman! But, hay they can't even acknowledge that a DEAD black kid is pretty sad!!! In their minds some how he earned it! Should not have gotten skittles! Should gone home versus hide! Should have called 911! All MODIFICATIONS are to be made by Trayvon Martin. Mr. Zimmerman is not to have done one thing
Man that cue looks fn great with that wrap. I've been wanting to put a wrap like that on a Merry Widow for a while but never got around to it. Great looking BEM too!!!!

After three days on the road, I am nearing my destination, Tunica Mississippi, a casino town built on farm land deep in the heart of nowhere. The mandatory big billboards appear on either side of the road heralding the coming casinos, the big jackpots and whatever else they can come up with to make you drive on against your better judgment.
Now in most second rate casino areas, these signs will highlight the coming shows; Shows featuring C list performers. Coming July 27th - Fabian!!....

A Simple Trip to Florida
The day seemed to start so well, especially considering what time it had begun. I am up at 6 AM for my 8:15 flight to Florida from The Westchester County Airport (HPN)-conveniently located less than 6 miles away. By 6:20 I'm feeling great, having for the first time in several years met the sandman by 10 PM the previous evening. It wasn't until 10 hours later that I realized 2 SNAFU's had already occurred.
