A friend has a Z2 shaft on a meucci butt and I'm thinking of getting a similar shaft for my Meucci. I tried his and it hits very sweet but I've heard concerns that LD shafts have a limited lifespan and that mismatched cue parts won't play as true as a full Predator stick.
I don't like the heavy price for a new Predator stick when $250 can get me a new Predator Z2 shaft. Will I get short changed just getting the shaft?
For context, I'm an APA 6, BCA 7
Edit: Follow up, should I skip the Z2 and go for the Z3?
Why don't you look into the new Meucci Ultimate Weapon Pro? it's getting pretty good reviews and plenty of pros have switched to Meucci if that means anything to you.
Sometimes 11,75 mm tip is too small for average player. I played 3 years with a Z2, now I'm using a Tiger Ultra X shaft with a 12.75 mm tip. In our area everybody who played with a Z2, changed it with a thicker shaft.

I just bought a Z2 from Seyberts on sale PM'd. At the level I play would not be able to tell the difference between a 2 or 3. For the cost of 3 I'd buy a new cue instead.
Limited life span.? Take care of it....... should last a lifetime.
