Wanted: United Carbon Fiber shaft review - 05-18-2018, 02:33 PM

Has anyone ever had experience with the United Carbon Fiber shaft?

I heard he had a booth at SBE 2018 but don't know anyone who purchased one first hand looking for reviews.

It's supposed to be made from the same material as the predator revo shafts.

It may be the same material, but the construction and whatever is inside it may be radically different.

I would suggest waiting a year or two for carbon fibre shaft manufacturing/finishing to mature a bit so you really get what you pay for. A number of us have seen build issues in Predator Revo's and I have no reason to think United will be the exception nailing it first time.

Having played with Revos, really don't see them as something I will want until the price reduces or the quality increases to match the price. That said, if the shafts I had purchased/returned did not have holes and cracks in, wobble or leave my hand/bridge black after playing for 20mins, I would have kept one as they would be very nice if free of visible defects.

I just got one is the stiffest shaft ever. Very powerful and low low deflection. It is really fat so might be a little awkward when you use pro bridge. But over all well deserves the money.

Player - Ob coco & Ebony / United Fat Carbon shaft / ON SS tip
Break cue - Krindlekin Diamond wood / ON Cyborg Cell
Jump - Krindlekin Diamond wood / United Carbon Break Shaft / Zento tip
