Odd cue design - 01-22-2018, 05:34 PM

This cue has a bolt in the bottom half of the ferrule that threads into the shaft and was glued at one time
The cue was marked with WW on the buttcap
Ringwork is like the Lucas I but not as wide
Is a very nice cue and dead straight

Anyone familiar with that ferrule configuration
The cue looks very much like a George cue I had

Not sure the maker but would be interested in buying if it is for sale.

Thanks

There was a guy named Willingham that called his stuff "WW" cues. I think he was in Ark. somewhere.

WW cues were made by Steve Kornele and Greg Willingham in Oklahoma. They came from the Verl Horn line of cue makers. One or both of them worked for Verl and/or Prather for a while if I'm not mistaken. Greg bailed and Steve started making Kornele cues. There were about 100 WW cues made in total from what I understand. I have never talked to either of the cue makers so all of my information is secondhand. I have owned several of their cues and still own a couple. They are great playing cues. I will pull the bumper off of one of mine and see if the bolt looks like yours and let you know what I find and post some pics. As for the ferrule, it is not like anything I've see on WW cues I have owned
