Hello Dan:

Likely a 5/16 X 18 pin. Usually piloted.

To be sure you can count how may threads in an inch. If 18 then what I said. If 14 then likely a 5/16 X 14.

Post a picture of your current shaft.

Helmstetter and Adams used both.

Dave

Hi dan:

Yes, it is piloted. You may want to get a micrometer (10 bucks at harbor freight) to measure diameter of pilot and shaft where it meets butt. It is a 5/16 and looks like X 18, but your count will control; you could also go to home depot and check it with a nut, but screw on very carefully. Or could check by counting 9 in a half inch to confirm.

Good luck

First of all thanks for the guidance ... Sure of the size now 5/16 x 18 (counted 18 threads per inch) as for the pilot it diameter measures out a .4545 inch..does that sound about right?
