Awesome! - 10-11-2011, 09:16 PM

Playing every night for about three hours a night before bed. I can't tell you how much I love playing. Now if Christmas can hurry up and get here I get my new 2 1/16" balls I'll be all set!

Are you sure you want to play 2 1/16" balls?

My 10' Brunswick Centennial (used to have) was shipped with 2 1/8" balls and it had 3 1/2" corners and 4" sides and my 6 x 12 plays 2 1/16" and it has 3 1/4" corners and 3 3/4" sides.

Maybe someone here knows if ball size is a function of pocket size.

2 1/8" snooker balls without numbers are readily available.

When I had my Brunswick we played with 10 reds most of the time and that made maneuvering around the black easier.

The size of ball and the RAIL HEIGHT is an important consideration....
..but the smaller ball may play better...lot of tables have the contact point
on the rail too low.

.04 inch difference in optimal rail height by my SWAG. Shouldn't be a dramatic effect on the balls, at least I don't think it would be much.

We have a 10x5 table and I have found 2" balls much better than 2 1/16. We ordered a set from Thurstons in England

A friend has a set of 1 7/8".
Difference of diameter makes balls much lighter than the small change in diameter would suggest.
