nice looking cue! i have a mastercue as well, a lower end model, but 1/2 jointed. plays very well for the money, I was very pleased when I received mine.

So what differences have you noticed so far playing with the snooker cue vs. your pool cue?

Actually, I don't really know the differences. The tip is much smaller and the shaft is narrower and the taper seems different. I am just learning snooker, but it seems to be easier for me to pot balls if I shoot very lightly (not that I pot many balls!) and this cue seems to be "made" for that. The journey of learning snooker is interesting. I find it a very difficult game, but I am really liking the game. Some day I will make double digits!

Did you find it locally or did you have to source it from England? I've wanted to experiment with a snooker cue, but shipping charges from Europe scare me.

the mastercues are made in thailand....you can get them from european/UK dealers, but the shipping is way pricey. i don't know of any mastercue dealers in the US. oddly enough, getting it shipped from Asia is a heck of a lot cheaper. you can order from mastercue direct, but it's a bit frustrating. their english isn't great and they sometimes take a while to respond.

I ordered mine from Stu Green at Green Baize in Great Britain. For the cue, an extension and an aluminum case the shipping was 29.99 British Pounds.

178 British Pounds for the cue, but there was a slight discount for buying the cue, extension and case.
