Please list a recommended basic video/audio streaming kit that could be installed in a billiards room connected to a DSL/High Speed internet or Wireless air card.

PC or Laptop minimum requirements

Camera, camcorder, webcam requirements

lighting ?

Audio imputs?

is firewire 400 or 800 the way to go? or USB2.0 ok?

Just some basic numbers and recommendations please.

I can tell you what we use at AZBTV. Sony PD-170 cameras. Macs with OS-X, Firewire 400. THe more light the better. Lights just over the table lead to glare and poor streams. We are still experimenting with sound, best get this advice from another poster.

Tom,

Go to this site: http://www.nchsoftware.com/

This site has a lot of software that you can download for a free trial PRIOR purchasing the full versions.

Check out one of their programs called BroadCam - it is available for free trial version (so you can play around with it first) then you can purchase the the full program (or complete package program w/ video/audio/support) Altogether it costs less than $200 total if you use their "Bundle" price.

I have purchased a lot of the NCH software and have never had any problems with it at all.
