    Sorry, no log or photos. I just kind of did it in my head, with some rough sketches and measurements. I made the dimensions so that a 4x8' sheet of 1/4" Masonite would lay on the top, fit inside a "L" that I routered out at the inside top of the 1x8" poplar sideboards. All I had to do to the Masonite sheet was notch out the corners to clear the 2x2' poplar corners (attached to the sides with "L" brackets). Cross-bracing, routered 1x2" and various trim to make openings for parabolic grids, 2 tandem 8' fixtures (8 four ft. bulbs), stain to match the table (mixed), satin poly and some automotive pinstriping, and she was done. Hung it with stainless steel chain link from 3" eye bolts into the ceiling joists, with turnbuckles for leveling.
