The first round of the 2011 World Cup Of Pool came out as shocking as top teams China and England crash out of the tournament to Switzerland and Estonia respectively.
In the race to eight elimination, World Cup Of Pool defending champs Fu Jianbo and Li Hewen of China got swished by an 8-4 defeat courtesy of Switzerland’s Ronni Regli and Dimitri Jungo while team England’s Chris Melling and Darren Appleton got wasted by Estonia’s Dennis Grabe and Erki Erm, 6-8.

Ralf Souquet wins yet another World Pool Masters title after defeating defending champion Dennis Orcollo in the final of 2011 World Pool Masters 8-5, in front of the Filipino crowd at SM City North Edsa, Manila.

The Philippines will once again host the World Cup of Pool. This will be the third consecutive year of the tournament in the country otherwise known as the billiards capital of the world. The 2011 World Cup of Pool will be held from September 6 to 11 and the Block Atrium of SM City North EDSA Mall in Manila will be its venue.
