Myk Status: Offline

I have benn on a mini roll lately. I have finished in the top 3 in 4 of the last 5 Sunday night 9 ball tournaments.

In addition, I won the Monday 8 ball tourney tonight, and ran roughshod through the field undefeated. My second and third matches were shutouts, and my opponent in the finals won 1 rack total. Pretty good for a guy who was going to stay home and cut the grass instead!

This past Friday, I got talked into shooting in a single rack double elimination tourney. What the hell, $5 entry, nothing to lose.

I had forgotten how fickle a single rack 8 ball tourney can be. 2 and out, but it was fun anyway.

That left plenty of time afterwards for fooling around, so I rented a 9 footer with a couple buddies. They had never played straight pool. They are a little younger than me, and had not really been exposed to it much, so I talked them into...

Monday nights 8 ball tournament was nothing special for me. I played an A first match and lost, but shot well in the match.

Went to the Nip N Cue for the captains meeting for the upcoming Sunday night BCAPL leagues. I have never played in a league before, so I don't know what to expect yet. I think we have a fairly solid B team, and my game is getting back up to speed pretty fast. OUr first match will be September 13th.
