Any suggestions for a small riser under table legs? -

I'm going to buy and have a table installed some time in December (haven't settled on the actual table yet but narrowing it down), and I want to protect the legs from a possible occasional basement water pooling issue. It hasn't happened in a long time, but I don't trust that it won't happen again. So what I'd like to do is have the table mechanic set the table up where the bottom of the legs are sitting on something stable atop the concrete slab that won't be affected by moisture if there happens to be any in the future. The basement never floods, so a maximum of 1/4 inch of water may have entered the area from time to time over the years.
What materials would you recommend?
Also, after the table is set up I figure I'll use some sort of removable flooring around the table. I'm not sure what to consider for that flooring. I don't want to recarpet just to have to tear it up again. Any ideas?
Thanks!
