Why did they go to Kiev,anyway?

I've read enough about the Russian mob to know that they are no joke, but this still smells real fishy and don't see how he could put himself in that position in the first place.

Russian hockey players with family at home is one thing, this appears totally different and has the potential to be the end for him if they can prove he dumped even one frame.

There are no accusations of he dumping anything in the past. He is accused of agreeing to dump some frames in the future. However that might still very well be the end of him. And I actually hope it is if he's found guilty.
