I don't understand how they would be illegal or whatever. same as selling a regular cue, plus its a great advertising tool for any cue maker. both at the poolhall and on here. the cue makers themselves should offer raffles, they would make ridiculous money. They would sell 10 times the cues. literally makes no sense to me, and now ill never own my dream Scruggs.

various state's AG's see raffles as gambling. if a state has indian casinos its even more iffy because states have pacts with tribes and they will do nothing to shoot the golden goose. there are other sites that you can navigate to from Az that still do raffles.

Lawyers make the laws, enforce the laws, appeal the laws, and break the laws....

I have no proof of this, but I suspect that a certain online cue maker and parts salesman is responsible for this whole issue. Nevertheless, it is what it is.
I will leave this section open long enough for existing raffles to work with people who have purchased numbers and to work out how they want to handle their raffles.
After that, I will be shutting this section down.
PLEASE DO NOT START ANY MORE RAFFLES IN THIS AREA!!

.
But still want to comment on raffles being banned.
Here in ILLinois bars are now allowed a small number of poker machines (PM). Of coarse the state had the GREEDY fingers in the till.
In the contract of said PM, no raffles are allowed, this includes "Strip Cards" and "Wheels". The reason? It takes away from the income of the PM's. (GREEDY B's)
And yes, bars can have raffles but there's a $DOLL.AR amount in fees. (More GREED)
I can count on one hand the number of times I got in a Strip Card or Wheel but I'm not one to like GREED taking over. Raffles, etc. is minor entertainment, support for the needy and is usually local fun. But what I understand is, it's OK for churches to continue???
