Road Runners without special provenance or numbers matching Hemi motors will not bring any major money.

Edited:

I am apparently blind and did not see the blaring "Daytona" decal. So:
However, the Daytona as pictured here is extremely rare (as is the other "wing" car of the time the SuperBird) and generally starts in the $150,000 range. Any provenance or rare options will bring these cars up to and above 1/2 million.

The standard Charger and/or SuperBee which is the same platform as the wing cars can run up to $100,000 with proper engine and options but standard options and no provenance vehicles are normally no more than other muscle cars.

I am no expert but I follow these things quite a bit and these numbers are right in line with the auction results and published pricings on most registries.

A friend in Pa was offered 70k. He did not sell because he thought it was some kind of scam or hoax. His car has the original engine with about 35k miles, only been driven in summer. He paid 3k for it from an estate.
I will let him know that it really could be worth something.

As you know, I'm sure the Daytona and the Superbird are the same car, but one was branded "Dodge" while the other "Plymouth". But regardless, daytona or 'bird - the price for those cars are astronomical these days. Well, one that's in showroom condition, that is.

That site... it almost really did make me cry. wow. Not sure if I should thank you or punch you in the arm for posting that. heh.

Well they are from the same family. One is on the Charger body the other on the Road Runner body. However they needed those cars to entice the King , Petty, not Elvis, back to the Chrysler family.

That site is a tear jerker.. lol

From the pricing guide at Hemmings for a 1969 Dodge Daytona:

Among 11 ad(s) found that list prices*:

The average asking price is: $245,922.73
The highest asking price is: $595,000.00
The lowest asking price is: $37,500.00

As I remember it, the Daytona never sold well when it was out largely because that wing was too radical and a lot of people figured they would just look silly driving it. The dealers could hardly give them away. iirc

Two Newfoundlanders in a Boat - 09-08-2010, 12:03 PM

Jarge and Eli, were adrift in a small boat.

While rummaging through the boat's provisions, Jarge stumbled across an old lamp. He rubbed it vigorously and a genie came forth. This genie; however, stated that he could only deliver one wish, not the standard three.

Jarge immediately blurted out, "Turn the entire ocean into Moose Head beer."

The genie clapped his hands with a deafening crash, and immediately the sea turned into beer and the genie vanished. Only the sounds of the gentle lapping of beer on the hull broke the stillness as the two men considered their circumstances.

Eli looked disgustedly at Jarge whose wish had been granted. After a long, tension-filled moment he said:

"Nice going Jarge! Now we're going to have to piss in the boat."
