snooker table ID - 03-09-2020, 08:55 PM

I just purchased this snooker table and would like to know brand name, etc. Its a 10' x 5', 3 piece slate. I was told it is from the 1960's. It has red plastic pockets. It does not have a plaque on it, just a number "3" on one end. I am thinking it was a commercial table but do not know much about it.

Victor or Gandy maybe. Looks more like an import.

Gandy would be my guess as well. So much of the design and looks copied Brunswick Anniversaries and Sport Kings, the blinds, the stretcher, and the pocket castings, even the red pocket liners. Not quite as beefy as a Brunswick, but a little more affordable to a guy wanting to open a room in the 1960s. So much Formica and particle board used, which was typical of a Gandy. They were pretty good tables, the Air Force had gobs of them in the rec centers and dormitory dayrooms.

The legs look just like a Gandy Big G. Never seen a Gandy snooker table before.

Yes, exactly what I was thinking, it even has the same aluminum trim between the rails and blinds as the Big G. The snooker version of the Big G. A pretty rare one here in the U.S.
