In the day's of my youth a Primary school teacher tried to paint a war picture to us as follows .
1. Soldier light up a cigartte in the trenches but the flame goes out .
2 . Soldier tries to light up for a second time , flame goes out but the enemy takes aim .
3 . Soldier takes a cigarette light for the third time and it's BOOM , lights out .and it's all over !
