Of course it should be open to women as otherwise it is not an open. It is a s shame not to see players like Alison Fisher and Jasmin Ouschan face the best on the men’s side.
Still, the bigger problem is the WPBAs lack of true opens as they indirectly limit the number of female players, which is already small to begin with. What a great show. The three days I spent there was the longest I have been at a Classic Tour event and it is very interesting to see how the level of play rises from day one to day three.
Although a couple of players ran out of gas late on day three, the majority of the players still in the running took their game to a different level.
