Get involved!

Most people do not get involved in a cause until it directly affects them or a family member. That had always bothered me. I implore you to find a cause, a foundation, or whatever trips your trigger, and start helping in any way you can. It doesn't always have to be monetary.
My cues have sponsored the National Wheelchair Poolplayers Assoc., the JDRF, and the DAV. I am also on the Bone Marrow registry and an organ donor, in the event of my death.
The reason I made this blog entry today is because a friend of mine just found out her two year old boy has leukemia. They are optimistic about his recovery, but nothing is ever guaranteed. I am just thankful for the families that came before my friend's that donated time and/or money to the cause so, today, Christian's chances of survival are good.
Working towards cures for diseases of any kind are, sometimes, a slow process but work is always being done. So, get off your butt and do something and pray for the cures and the people who are looking for them.

I pray this comment finds your friends baby in remission, It's always an inspiration to find others willing to give of themselves without being driven by monetary purpose. The world would be a much better place if everyone thought to live the day thinking of others before themselves.
