WPBA San Diego Classic

Still recovering from the trip to Alpine California for the WPBA San Diego Classic.
What a great show. The three days I spent there was the longest I have been at a Classic Tour event and it is very interesting to see how the level of play rises from day one to day three.
Although a couple of players ran out of gas late on day three, the majority of the players still in the running took their game to a different level.
Of particular note was Jeanette Lee's match with Sarah Rousey on night three. Sarah really could do nothing and got a couple bad rolls. Add to that the fact that Jeanette was playing some of the best pool that I have seen from her in years.
After that match, I was not sure that anyone would beat Jeanette. So, of course, Monica pastes her 7-1 in the first Sunday match.
I think the streaming video is starting to accomplish what we hoped it would. It is getting some attention for lesser known talent and it is also allowing fans to see some of the incredible matches that are not televised.
Karen Corr's loss to Allison Fisher in Prescott years ago is probably the best match I have ever seen, but Gerda's comeback from 6-3 down against Allison on Saturday night was a very close second. And to know that we have that match on video for everyone who missed it is outstanding.
Even with all of that, I am still glad to be home. Being away from Family for that long gets old. Not sure how some of the players do it.

The streaming was great - I really appreciate the opportunity to see more of the competition than just the last 4! Thank you
